Ha, no. Matt Henderson is on vacation for two weeks, so user submitted content is being utilized.

Looks to me like you've got the order right.
If something goes wrong in Anaheim, though (injury to a top player), they could fall. Hard. I'm not sold on their depth at any position other than defence. |

Not so sure I agree. Having depth at D is a great benefit. If any team suffers an injury to a top player, they could fall, but I think if the team is particularly strong in one area, how far they fall will be mitigated. Multiple injuries are another issue. (Since the Ducks, worst case scenario, will be starting the season without Vatanen, Kesler, and potentially Lindholm, we'll know.) |

True but that could be said about any team in the Pacific too. If Monahan is out long term, if McDavid is out (runs to Home Depot and knocks on every piece of wood in shop) things could look very different.
Injury is impossible to plan for. This is just a look at how the team's should finish if they all have relatively healthy rosters. |

Ducks could be slowed out the gate - Hampus / Sami shoulders - Kes with the hip / Pears with knee - Miller in my mind big upgrade on the Bern -
Oil - as long as 97 is ready rolling they'll be fine - Talbot falls off a hair .. not enough to really affect where they'll be - I'm still trying to get my head around 4x4 for Russell -
Flames - will go as far as Smith lasts -
The rest - LA / AZ / SJ / Vegas / Van -

I would say that's pretty dang accurate, Vegas might even finish ahead of the Canucks. |

Any chance THX1138 will be featured? OR is there an issue with Richard Cloutier under a new handle witing for HB? |

Probably on the Oilers. You proclaimed yourself an Oilers blogger first and foremost, so it's ok if you don't know much about the rest of the team's in the division. |

Predictions are all reasonable, although the Sharks still have one of the better D-corps in the league and are an excellent possession team. I could see them finishing 2nd or 3rd if they can score enough goals. |

Must have blocked Carlyle out after listening to him complain for the fiftieth time during the playoffs. |

So if these predictions hold true, you're saying Battle of Alberta returns for round one!
Bring it on losers!
Then after the 1st round you guys can start talking about who looks good with the 17th pick!
Cue the discussions! |
